The name is made up of two words: ācableā taken from the traditional Arran cable knitting style, and āami,ā which in Japanese translates to āknitā, and in French means āfriend.ā The cableami name reflects the brands own ethos of creating hats that, much like a cable knit jumper, will be cherished and worn as if it were a friend.
